Yuma to Palm Springs and home 2015

Staying in Palm Creek for the Club Championships was a great idea, well according to the person who won her flight and overall Ladies Low Net.

Mary played really well and got a nice trophy, plus some $$$. ..
We left PC on Tuesday and travelled to Yuma, Mary took a turn at the wheel and did OK until she got a little nervous when a line of semi's passed us. Next exit we traded seats and continued on, hey at least she knows what the rig feels like behind the truck. Stayed at Fortuna Del Ore in Yuma for 2 nights, enjoyed the pool and relaxed some more.

Palm Springs is HOT, been in the mid 90's since we arrived. Saturday we golfed at Cimmeron in the heat, today we went golf shopping Mary bought shoes and I got a new driver, oh and a pair of shoes as well.
Tomorrow we leave for home, planned stops are:
Bakersfield ~Orange Grove RV
Chowchilla ~The Lakes RV (2 nights as it includes free golf at the adjacent course.)
Corning Ca. ~ Rolling Hills Casino
Canyonville Or. 7 FEATHERS Casino
Woodburn Or. ~RV park just south of Portland, so we will see you all SOON
It was a great time, caught up with old friends, and made some new ones as well.

A little rain, lots of sunshine and a few block parties.

Monday Mar 2nd, day one of Palm Creek golf Club Championship ~ all participants were gathered at the clubhouse with the weather forecaster predicting a storm coming in. A decision was made to postpone. We were scheduled to leave after round two on Thursday, but again extended our stay til next week. The weatherman was bang on, rain and wind kept us inside all day. Tuesday morning we woke to the glorious sunshine, but at least the dust had washed away.
Click for OptionsBlock parties are fun. Great way to meet new friends and have a blast with the old ones.   Tuesday, Tom and Donna our neighbours from Alberta had purchased a new lot with a casita on it, so they threw a party - more food and drinks than one could handle, then on Saturday my golf buddies, Terry(the Margarita man) Click for Options and Jerry (brat's and sauerkraut) blocked off both ends of their street for the over 50 attendees, everyone brought potluck and again too much food, but it was good.

Wednesday round one began, Mary is 2nd low net for ladies and I am 2nd in my flight, so we better golf good in round 2. They held the pizza night on Wed as they couldn't cancel the food or entertainment. Friday, Mary and I joined Jim and Melina for golf at Francisco Grande, the wind blew on the front but settled down for the back 9.
Next week after round 2 of golf we are off to Yuma, Palm Desert and Chowchilla Ca. before heading home~~~ where did the time go?

Another Week Flys By~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yes, another week has come and gone, Sunday we drove into Chandler and Mesa, Costco was stop #1 then on to Mesa Market, a huge swap meet...only went  up and down 2 rows (out of 6 or 8) but found some RV stuff, sunglass's and a new cover for Mary's i-pad.
Monday Men's golf in the park was good, finished 9th and won a whole $5.00, after that the park was having it's Canada Day - all the Canadians here (around 1200) dress up in red, eat cake, drink Tim Horton's coffee (yes someone actually brings down all the supplies - cups and all) The band plays The Guess Who, Neil Young, and others.
Mary felt recovered from her bout with the flu and started Yoga again, I am finding the 7am start a little early, however if it was golf ??? maybe!
Wednesday, Mary played 18 in ladies and our golf group from the park continued to smack the ball at Francisco Grande, the Whitecaps have finished their pre-season there and now Salt Lake Real is in training. Thursday Mary and Jackie went to a Canadian Snowbird presentation, the dog show here was cancelled for lack of dog entries too bad, that was my plan, instead I went to the putting green and practised a bit. Friday we caught up on laundry and some grocery shopping then did the $8 happy hour golf ~ managed to get 13 holes in before dark, even though we didn't miss our usual happy hour, it was just a bit later... and Saturday we went out to Robson Ranch for yes U guessed it ` more golf .
Mary and Jackie had really good games, see the more golf U play the better U get. Today we are heading up towards Phoenix to the Wildhorse Casino, we have some free tickets to see the Neil Sadaka impersonator...
