BEEN A WHILE

Friday Feb 23rd, yea its been 9 days since I last wrote, but busy lives here in the sunshine.
Well mostly the last week has been decent weather BUT we did have a day of rain and a day of wind. When you have a lot of stuff outside (bbq, lawn chairs, tables ) etc, the wind and rain can make a real mess, so besides our usual activities, had to clean the truck, wash down the trailer, hose off the dogs kennel and all the other outside stuff. 
Yes we did manage a few golf games here at Palm Creek as well as outside the compound *as some of our friends call it -- Mary's friend Karen and husband Dave came down from Mesa for a visit, so they could go to the quilt show in the park, Dave and I opted to golf 😎
Mary won 2 quilted bags in the raffle, while Karen won a quilting board ???

Tuesday was our street party, well attended and LOTS of food (potluck) 

 Wednesday we went to the Piano Men, a Father and Son, [Elton John, Billie Joel] concert, it was very good - lot better then the last beatles /stones ~!

Pickleball golf and happy hours ... to day we are heading up to Jim and Melana's for a cruise re-union with Sylvia and Denny (our group from the 2015 river cruise.)

Catching UP

Super Bowl Sunday was 10 days ago, there were lots of parties in the park, but I (being a true Canadian) watched the Scotties final, which by the way was a great game, Since then we have golfed in the Park, 
I caught up to Mary in *earnings* -made $10.80 US getting the men's low net in our Mini Championship. 

Lola got groomed at a local saloon, more golf with our group in the park, then out at Fransico Grande, and Bear Creek. We went to a "Beatles vs Stones" concert where Mic Jagger had a real off nite LOL. Really he was bad but we suffered through it. 

Mary is still playing pickleball a few times per week, as well as going to some water exercise classes, need to wear off all those happy hours. Her friend Karen came down from Mesa (with husband Dave) went out for Sunday brunch and took a bicycle tour of our park. There's returning next week for the quilt show. 

Happy Valentines Day to ALL - last night we hit the Olive Garden for an early Valentines dinner. 

Missing home a bit as Reese and Miller are both doing well at hockey - Millers team won the Division Banner, the Coq. tournament, and now heading into playoffs - well done and good luck.

Friday , Jan 26th was WELCOME HOME in the park, where all the clubs and other activities set up booths and displayed their talents. There are close to 100 things you can do, silversmithing, art classes, woodworking, photography, genealogy, ....We tried to sign Lola up for dog agility, but the classes were full. We enjoyed the day, as it was a carnival theme, bottle toss, ring toss, 
softball throw, dart throw - you earned tickets for completing the game and could cash them in at the end for a prize or gift, fun stuff like the SLIDE, and a great band

The weekend went quick, visited friends, washed Lola in the parks new dog wash, and just relaxed. Monday a new week, but same old, Men's golf, Mary went to pickleball, We went over to Mission Royale ( a golf community) to Donna and Armand\s who were renting a house there this year, They were heading home to Penticton later in the week, so we they invited us for a farewell dinner. Tuesday was laundry day, clean the rig day, grocery shop day..Wednesday Mary golfed in the Ladies 

she got 2nd LONGEST PUTT, while Jackie won the second  KP.  I went out to Fransico Grande with Brian -good day of golf.

February 1st is here already, weather is getting hot, Played the Muni course with our PC Hackers, Mary went to pickle ball. 

This weekend in the park was Cancer Awareness, Brian, Chris Mary and I tee'd off in the golf tournament - where this time Mary got the KP,(she's cleaning up ! lol)

Friday nite was the Balloon Festival 

Today is Superbowl Sunday, but I'm off to golf this AM with Brian, Barry and Steve
