A slow, cool week...........

Ok its Arizona and the real temps should be in the 70's but this week we had cool mid 60's in the day and the WET (yes wet) weather and dampness made it seem like home. Monday Men's golf for me was followed by ,,,, some errands and grocery shopping. Tuesday and Thursday was 7AM yoga ~ 'yawn'
back to Wednesday ~ golf at Fransico Grande with 2 foursomes from the park, and Mary played here at Palm Creek.
Friday we went up to the Outlet mall and Wild Horse casino with Jerry & Jackie, I actually made a few $$ and managed to come out ahead even with Mary's spending in Izod.
So to re-cap the week, playing golf, watching golf (TV) too lousy to actually go up to the Phoenix Open, reading, laundry, shopping, ~ and tomorrow we are golfing in the AM then SUPER BOWL go Seahawks....Image result for seahawks logo

Week # 4 ~Windy but Warm

The last few days we have seen a bit of wind which keeps it a little cooler than we would like... however:
Sunday was an easy day of watching golf and off course the Seahawks.
I golfed 3x this week, while Mary played 2x. and is enjoying the game more as she is improving nicely. We made a trip to Costco and Trader Joes in Chandler.
Yoga is still an early start for the 7am class. Mary rode into the desert on her bike, making me repair her 2nd flat tire of the week. gotta stay on the pavement.
The trailer got washed and waxed, looks nice and shiny now.
Friday we had friends from Pheonix here for golf and dinner.
the propane firepit is a nessessity to enjoy the daily happy hours with friends and neighbors..

golf, yoga and a small world

man the 1st week has flown by. I think we missed dinner a few times because happy hour went way past an hour. We caught up with old old friends and neighbors in the park. The Welcome Home party on Saturday was cool, all the activities from basketweaving to line dancing had a booth and tried to entice you to join their group. I golfed in the men's club Monday, then went with our last years group out to Francisco Grande. (a little history about the course and resort once owned by the San Francisco Giants)

Mary also played in the ladies league golf on Wednesday, while I washed and waxed the truck. The Duggers' arrived and another happy hour ensued. We did make it to the 7 AM yoga class --hey life is too short to sleep in. I got the mountain bike tuned up as it needed both wheels to be trued. Friday saw another golf game with the Duggers in the clubs mixed scramble...
Today is the resorts Patio sales (garage sales) then there is a street fair in town. Sorry to say the next few days, the temperature is going to be in the mid 70's. This week we also met 2 more couples from home, One from Delta golf, and an old neighbor who's girls played ball for me way back then. Its a small world

the 1st few days

Jan 10, 2015 ~~~ Our trip down was uneventful, other than the leaky toilet. Our friends from Steveston headed for Palm Springs, and we pointed the truck towards Lake Havasu where we spent 2 nights in the State Park. Joyce and Al (friends from Vernon) met us and we all visited Mary's cousin Shirley who we hadn't seen since 2001. I replaced the leaky toilet valve,{with Mary reading me the directions} teamwork made it was a cheap and simple job. Lake Havasu City to Casa Grande 200 miles ~ 4 1/2 hrs
Well we made it to Palm Creek Golf and RV, today was welcome home day, so we went up to the clubhouse and checked things out. Got our internet DISH account reactivated, signed up for the men's. women' and mixed golf leagues. Found out the Yoga starts at 7 am - we are going to give it a try!!! Now I'm looking for the RV wash guy as the rig is pretty grimy from the trip down the I~5 AND 99.
Looking forward to golfing, relaxing, and enjoying the warmer weather.
