2019 Arizona

With Christmas and New Years over its time for our annual pilgrimage south. We packed up and left January 5th. Day one saw us thru Seattle and Portland with decent weather and light traffic. Planning on stopping just south of Portland, it was early in the day so we pushed on to Eugene.
Premier RV park was our choice for the nite, Its only Premier in name, average sites, but premier prices. Not going there again!! They were calling for wind and rain overnight. We were settled in and the rain started, watching the Seattle vs Dallas football game, the wind started, with 10 min left in the 4th quarter, Seattle was pushing to go ahead when BAM, we lost power. It stayed off for a few hours, Winds were gusting to 60 mph.
Up and on the road Sunday morning (Mary's birthday on the road again) we got thru Grants Pass with just some windy conditions, heading up the Siskiyou's we were relieved that the weather looked promising, however just beyond Weed Ca. the rain and sleet started then SNOW, one lane traffic @ 30 mph for an hour and a bit slowed us down. Over the pass successfully and into Rolling Hills Casino at Corning for night # 2

Monday down the I-5 and Hwy 99 to Bakersfield we pulled into Orange Grove RV park, picked a few bags of oranges and relaxed. Overnight it became very windy again, and continued in the AM as we went over the Tehachapi Pass with wind gusts up to  40 mph. The truck and trailer made it fine, and got us to  our destination of Lake Havasu  state park for 2 nights. Great park and beautiful sunsets
  1. Lola travelled really well

Thursday, an easy drive to Palm Creek Golf & RV in Casa Grande, got in mid day and set up, welcomed by all our neighbours and friends. After unpacking and washing the truck etc. a welcome back block party was held on Friday, where we caught up with all their adventures since last year.
